International HIV/AIDS Alliance |
![]() |
| The Alliance is a network of national, independent, locally governed and managed linking organisations. The Alliance provides linking organisations with technical and financial assistance. In turn, the linking organisations support and develop thousands more non-governmental and community-based organisations in more than 40 countries. The Alliance was founded in 1993 and since then their secretariat has been based in the UK. Their work in Latin America and the Caribbean focuses on those populations key to the dynamics of the epidemic; people living with HIV, men who have sex with men, female sex workers, transgenders and injecting drug users. The organisation's mission is to support community organisations so that they may play a stronger role within the response to the epidemic. http://www.aidsalliance.org |
